MADDY GILLESPIE IS MAD AS HELL.

After spectacularly quitting their job as a government Hero, and defecting to the villainous Korps, the trans biker dyke sheep-bear swore they’d never go back to Alberta… until the incident at Primrose Lake made the news. As a teen, Maddy was enrolled in the junior Hero training program operated by Dad’s old team, and they attended “Cold Weather Survival Training” at Camp Primrose, too — but on their own cadet winter trip, back in 2012, nobody died.

Furious at the Prairie League’s neglect of their teenage charges, Maddy heads for Edmonton with cheerful twunk hench Rory to investigate, intent on exposing the public to the dirty secrets of training young supers.

On the way, she’ll have to go through a cowardly informant, her reply-guy nemesis, a local legend, and one of her teenage bullies, now a high-profile Hero himself… and also, why is he so weirdly chill about her being a supervillain?
