Too old to hope things would change and too scared to even try another way, his only solace is the world of Heroes and Villains, but even that escape has lost its luster. Ever since she left, nothing feels right any more.

He desperately needs change; just to feel something, to feel anything. He needs one kind voice, just one, to acknowledge him and to tell him that there’s a choice. Someone to hold his paw while he takes that first step, and help him blaze his own trail. Maybe then — through the ashes and the smoke — the puma can find herself, and what it really means to live…
